We are excited to announce that The Scout Association has partnered with The British Army. The British Army are sponsoring the Scout Mechanic badge and are passionate about engaging young people in STEM activities and are champions of 'learning by doing'. 

As the third largest employer in the UK, the British Army has a huge occupation structure that spans the recruitment and training of dozens of career routes, such as chefs, musicians, engineers, communication specialists, drivers, animal carers, teachers and mechanics.

About The Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME)

The REME maintain, repair and manufacture equipment to keep the British Army vehicles and aircraft in working order. REME has an exciting set of eight trades:

The REME Museum 

The REME Museum displays the proud history of the Corps of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. 

The Museum's unique collection includes an extensive weapons display, historic repair and recovery vehicles, uniforms, medals, tools and test equipment. The collection is enhanced by interactive and immersive displays and enables the visitor to experience how REME uses its resourcefulness and ingenuity to keep the British Army operating. The REME Museum is proud to offer group rates and special workshops to The Scout Association. The Museum can deliver activities to suit a variety of desired outcomes.
